Expedition Details

Location:  Acadia National Park, on  picturesque Mount Desert Island, Maine.  (Fly into Bangor International Airport - BGR)
Dates of expedition:  Friday, June 15th - Monday, June 25th 2012
Expedition cost:  $690, includes food and all on-project expenses (excludes travel to and from project)
Maximum expedition size:  12 students, 2 staff

Content:  Lifelines is first and foremost about helping people grow in relationship with God, in relationship with others, in character and in leadership.  In order to do this, we use the outdoors as our training field, in the same way that Jesus often did.  The Acadia expedition is no exception.  You will experience a grace and truth environment in which you will be stretched and will grow as you learn to trust Jesus Christ afresh.  This expedition will emphasize living according to the promises of God.  Our hope is that you will leave having been transformed by the reality that you are a child of the promise, and that you will learn to rely on the promises of God in your daily living.  What does it mean that God promises you a hope and a future, and what does it matter that He will never leave you?  I would suggest that if we truly took hold of and applied these words, it would change everything.  For ten days you will practice living according to promises like these.  Come and let this experience shape your life decisions, attitudes and relationships; let it draw you gratefully near to the heart of God; and equip you for a lifetime of maturing in Christ.
