Introducing the Lifelines Guide Program

As the Lifelines ministry has grown we have sought to find new ways to incorporate more staff into the vision of outdoor ministry.  Starting in the Fall of 2010 we will be offering the opportunity to become a Lifelines Guide. This is different than being a full time staff member with Lifelines. This option is for Campus Ministry staff who desire to use outdoor experiential learning on their current campus.
Here are the steps to take to pursue the Guide option:

  1. Determine if this is for you... Look over this website, talk to other Lifelines staff members, and pray for wisdom and direction.
  2. Get permission... Meet with your MTL and share what you have learned, your desire to use the outdoors as part of your personal ministry and how the Guide program works.
  3. Apply... follow the link below and fill out the application. You must be Campus Crusade employee to be eligible.
  4. Training... Attend a Lifelines summer project or expedition where you will be trained as an outdoor facilitator.  Attend our Lifelines training days during the CSU conference to stay current on your skills and learn new practices.
  5. Get Certified... Once you have completed and passed the needed training you will be come a certified Lifelines Guide.  This certification requires you to maintain a current Wilderness First Responder. There are other skill sets and certifications requirements depending on the type of activities you desire to lead.
